McDonald's Customer Served Moldy Burger Bun In Sydney

An unfortunate Sydney McDonald's customer was served a moldy burger bun.
Reddit user inyourmouth02 posted the disgusting image on social media site on Tuesday with the sarcastic caption 'cheers maccas'.
The user was so shocked to find the blue-green mould growing on their gourmet burger bun, which is believed to have been purchased in Sydney's Greenacre McDonald's.
The image of the mouldy burger has already received comments from people across Sydney sharing in the customers' outrage at being served the out of date bread bun.
One user TheyUsedDarkForces said: 'How does this even happen? How can they serve that without anybody noticing the mould?'.
And chuboy91 also commented: 'On one hand, gross. On the other hand, only real bread grows mould so I guess this proves these buns are actually nutritious enough to support other life forms?'.
McDonald's Australia have said they are investigating the issue.
'McDonald's takes food quality seriously and issues like this are rare. We are disappointed this has happened and are investigating with the restaurant,' a spokesperson said.
